He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Swanson and Ella Mae Swanson; and his sister Gloria Darnell (Dennis). He is survived by: his wife Sandy Swanson; his children, Amy Swanson (Jeff Gostomske) and Andy Swanson (Maureen); and his sister Gretchen Byrd (Cal). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
