He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles George and Julia Maercker (Lindemann); his former wife Karren; and his sister Margaret Schoo. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, LeAnn Maercker (John Sbarboro), Robert Maercker (Jill), Craig Maercker (Nanette), Steve Nelson (Pam) and Erik Nelson (Sarah); his grandchildren, David Kendall (Krystan), Kelsey Bolander (Justin), Kent Maercker, John Kendall, Corey Maercker, Katelyn Nelson and Griffin Nelson; his great grandchildren, Brantley and Hazel Bolander; and his sister Katy Hunt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
