He was predeceased by: his wife Joan E. Foley; his daughter Patricia Foley; and his caregivers, Ornan "Frank" Ladd, Loretta Ladd and Hannah Smallhorn.

He is survived by: his children, Pamela Strahorn (late David) and Michael Foley; his grandsons, David and Patrick Strahorn; his brother Arthur Foley; and his sister-in-law Sister Francine Kavanah.
