He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood S. Knisley and Jennie Knisley (Schaafsma); and his brothers, Elwood Meidema and Kenneth Miedema. He is survived by: his daughter Traci; his son-in-law Todd Wagner of Grant Park; his brothers, Robert (Jill Knisley) and Shirley Miedema; and his grandchild Camden Wagner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
