He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas V., Sr. and Lorraine A. Lavery (Schwartz). He is survived by: his wife Diane D. Lavery (Guevin); his children, Janice K. Lavery-Heayden (Kevin) of Norton, Brian D. Lavery (Kristin) of Sandwich and Sean T. Lavery (Annamarie) of Los Angeles, CA.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brendan, Michaela, Olivia, Brenna and Jack; and his brothers, William Lavery (Elizabeth) of Weymouth, Paul Lavery (Janet) of Revere and John Lavery (Roberta) of Melrose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
