It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen M. Gawthorp-MacKey of Mansfield, Illinois, born in Humboldt, Illinois, who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Yoder and Lela Tague Yoder; her former spouse Alva Junior Gawthorp; her spouse Dale Mackey; and her siblings, Bob, Gene Yoder and Linda Key.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Diane Payton (Scott) of Mansfield, Cathy Lynn Bemount of Mahomet and Carla Jean Buchanan (Randy) of Mahomet, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Bill Saathoff, Amber Shinker (Jason), Shawn Moore, Kristy Jachowske (Chad), Chris Bemount (Kandice), Joshua McKenna-Buchanan (Tim) and Jacob Buchanan (Rachel). She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
The family asks that during the graveside memorial service, people take precautions and follow the standard COVID-19 protective procedures.
