He was predeceased by: his father Sylvester Junior; and his brother Dale Fosdick. He is survived by: his mother Beverly Norene Fosdick (Fritts); his wife Brenda Sue Stephens (Sarnes); his children, Kaleb Fosdick of Pekin, Chloe Fosdick of Pekin, Marilee Fosdick of Pekin and Ashley Edwards of East Peoria; his siblings, Sharon Kinzinger (Randy) of Buckley, Larry Fosdick (Julie) of Pontiac and Harry Fosdick (Lisa) of Chenoa; his mother-in-law Donna Sarnes of Pekin; his brother-in-law Mark Sarnes of Pekin; and also Logan Fosdick of Normal. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
