He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Doris Lorraine Smith (Stetler); his children, Amy Smith, Sara Smith and Shawn Smith; his sister Christine Smith; his brother-in-law Sonny Jacobs; and his pet Sadie.
He is survived by: his children, Josh Smith of East Peoria, Steevy Garrett (Jared) of Bartonville and Jenifer Copeland (Nathan) of Marquette Heights; his grandchildren, Joshlyn Gliddon (Alex), Justus King of Modesto, Hannah Smith of Modesto, Savannah Smith of Modesto, Payton Garrett of Bartonville, Grayson Garrett of Bartonville, Reese Garrett of Bartonville, Ellie Copeland of Marquette Heights and Hazel Copeland of Marquette Heights; his great grandchild Addyson Imholte of Minnesota; and his siblings, Diana Jacobs of Las Vegas, David Smith (Lisa) of Creve Coeur, Rodney Smith (Marla) of South Pekin and Tammy Wilson (Troy) of Forest City.
