He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virden Himmel and Anita Himmel (Woiwode); his spouse Galine Sindle; his children, Tim Himmel (Jackie) of Pekin and Gina Miller of Pekin; his brothers, Robert Himmel of Havana and Lindy Himmel of Forest City; and his daughter Cindy Dow. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren.
