He was predeceased by: his parents, Ados Benton and Kathryn Faye Doty (Kline); his former wife Phyllis Berry; and his sister Pat Darnell. He is survived by: his wife Sally Farlin of Manito; his children, Teri Kunkel (Jim) of Rushville, Ron Doty (Linda) of Manito, Michelle Neyhouse (Dan) of Princeton, Steve Doty (Nina) of San Jose, Jeremy Farlin (Ryann Wilson) of Green Valley and Carey Doty (Anthony Kline) of Manito; and his sisters, Suzie Krampe (Joe) of Owensboro and Sallie Zettwoch of Smyrna, Tennessee.. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Maas Hurley Funeral Home - Manito (301 S Washington St, Manito, IL 61546). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
