He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Rickett Schimmelpfenning; his siblings, Max Schimmelpfenning, Art Schimmelpfenning, Frank Schimmelpfenning and Stella Lewis; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Schimmelpfenning, Donald Gascoigne and John Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Staci Flanders (Terry) of Pekin and Rick Schimmelpfenning (Angela Bainbridge) of Manito; his grandchildren, Nathan Woods (Michelle), Jami Burks (Patrick), Jakob Woods, Nikki Gibson, Chance Schimmelpfenning and Morgan Schimmelpfenning; his great grandchildren, Sterling Burks, Bruce Burks, Hunter Woods, Braxton Gibson, Braydon Gibson and Sebastian Gibson; and his siblings, Hazel Stansbury (Kenny) of Tremont, John Schimmelpfenning of Effingham and Wilma Gascoinge of Amboy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manito.
