He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wahl, Sr. and Francis Wahl; and his sisters, Jeanne West (Don) and Norma Armstrong (Russ). He is survived by: his wife Judy; and his children, Kathy Wahl of Champaign, IL, Karen Ard (Steve) of Champaign, IL, Julie Sullivan (Gary) of Springfield, IL, Jill Kress (Tom) of Plainfield, IL, Tim Wahl of Portageville, MO and Steven Triezenberg (Christine) of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In later years, he became an accomplished potter, sculpting many pots and teapots, providing a creative outlet and a place to practice ongoing movement as he battled Parkinson's disease.
