He was predeceased by: his parents, Erastus Lawson and Mary Hasty Lawson; his wife Bonnie "Jean" Counterman Lawson; and his brothers, Dean and David Lawson.
He is survived by: his children, Autam Norton (Larry) of Mount Pulaski, Rhonda Perkins of Tuskcumbia, AL and Randy Lawson (Karen) of Pittsburg, TX; and his stepchildren, Jason, Christel, Mary, Mike, Kelly and Brad. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
