He was predeceased by: his sister Pamelia Hofliger of Pekin; his son Scott Christensen; and his stepson Kevin Thomas. He is survived by: his spouses, Jacqueline Tackman Thomas and Jackie of Manito; his daughter Christy Bushong (Michael) of Pekin; and his stepchildren, Roger Thomas (Karen) of Manito, Rhonda Woiwode (Kirk) of Manito and Trish Meyer of Manito. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.

Memorial donations in honor of Don may be made to Community United Methodist Church or Easter Seals.
