He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Ragland and Irene Ragland (Lyles); his wife Elizabeth Bitner; and his sisters, Hattie Montgomery and Margaret Ragland.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Ragland (Pamelia) of Mapleton, Phillip Ragland (Brenda) of New Carlyle and Ruth Arms (Rodney) of East Peoria. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
