It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara A. Aune of Manito, Illinois, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Richard and Marian Leone Scherich (Metzger); her son Dr. Craig Jerome Aune (Morton); and her sisters, Mary Malpass and Phyllis Graham.
She is survived by: her husband Jerome Spencer "Jerry" Aune; her daughter-in-law Nancy Aune of Morton; her grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Vanessa) of Oak Park, Emily Heneghan (Brendan) of Naperville, Cameron Aune (Brittany) and Shannon Aune (Jake Wilson) of Vancouver, Washington; her great grandchildren, Alistair Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Gavin Heneghan, Logan Heneghan and Evelyn Heneghan; and also Nicole Cox.
