It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alvena Marie Gathmann of Manito, Illinois, born in Havana, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mohlman and Fay Mohlman (Frye); her husband Virgil Gathmann; her sister Georgia Fay Vaughn; and her nephew Craig Gathmann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janell Durdle (Ron) of Bloomington and Mardell Wilson (Dave) of Omaha, Nebraska; her daughter-in-law Julie Gathmann of Manito; her grandchildren, Delayne Durdle (Brittany), Derek Durdle, Dedric Durdle, Natalia Gathmann, Jonah Wilson and Elliott Wilson; her great grandchild Emmett Durdle; and her sister-in-law Doris Callaway of Pekin.
Social distancing and masks will be required in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Camp CILCA.
