He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Heitman; his parents, Victor Heitman and Mary Heitman; and his brothers, Gordon Heitman, Gerald Heitman and Gary Heitman.
He is survived by: his daughter Marcy Kwiatkowski (Ken); his grandchildren, Amber Spiess (Joe), Ashlee Barger, Andrew Barger and Jon-Michael Barger (Reyna); his sisters-in-law, Patricia Heitman and Carole Griggs; and his nieces and nephews, Alvin Heitmann, James Benson, Karl Heitman (Jennifer), Susan Kruse (Robert), Bridget Herzog (Chris), Emily Bartlett and Ciara Denton. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
