He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Koehler and Emma "Dolly" Koehler; and his significant other Gerald Koehler. He is survived by: his wife Lois Koehler; his son Lynn Wehrmann (Kathy); his nephew Don Koehler (Faith); his niece Carol Hawes (Larry); his grandchildren, Joe Wehrmann, Dan Delaney and Josh Paul (Megan); his great grandchildren, Aydan, Kaleb, Brody, Mia and Ava; his nephews, Matthew Koehler, Jonathan Koehler and Steven Neimann (Stephanie); and his sister-in-law Evelyn Koehler.
