Leo J. Barnes Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo J. Barnes Sr. of Manhattan, Illinois, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Barnes and Minerva Barnes; and his siblings, Eileen Siemens, Fred, Frank and Merlin Barnes.

He is survived by: his wife Gwenneth Barnes; his children, Jayne Barnes (John Sims), Sue Knaperek (Richard), Diane Maguire (Matthew) and Leo Jr. "Jamie" Barnes (Susan); his grandchildren, William "Keith" Cosmen, Kevin Cosmen (Karen), Karl Cosmen, Matthew Maguire Jr., Collin Maguire, Wyatt Barnes and Eva Faith Barnes; his great grandchildren, Emaira Cosmen and Henry Leo Cosmen; his siblings, Jesse Barnes, Terry Barnes (Shirley) and Doris Thomas; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Crass, Carl Goad and Carol Harmon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
