He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCarthy and Margaret McCarthy; and his brother Bob McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Kathleen Janson (Jeff) and Michael McCarthy; his grandchildren, Lee and Scott Janson; his brother Tom McCarthy (Diane); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Creagan, Sue Grant, Marie McCarthy, John and Bill Creagan (Rosalind). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
