He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Johnson and Hildur Johnson (Collin); his sisters, Helen Morgan of Florida, Jean Maness of Sycamore, Pat Davy of Florida and Carol Zittel of Arizona; his wife Virginia Hanson; and his daughter Wanda.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Dickens (Joseph) of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Kevin Johnson of Malta, Brent Johnson (Nelda) of Oregon and Brenda Niss of San Jose, California; his grandchildren, Erika Dickens, Erin-Mikal Dickens (Leslie), Blaine Peters (Andrea), Melissa Branham (Mickey), Nicole Galvan (Albeso), Joshua Johnson (Keri), Tonya Summers (Marty) and Jason VanVlerah (Dana); his great grandchildren, Sedonia, Joseph Dickens, Nathan, Ella, Nolan Peters, Michael, Elaysha, Daileon Branham, Nathaniel Galvan, Hanna, Cole, Jack Johnson, Alyssa, Carly Summers, Zachary White and Ryan VanVlerah; his stepdaughters, Kim Davis and Stacy Flanagan (Dale); and his stepgrandsons, Josiah and Cody.
