He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Freeman and Joseph Freeman; his significant other Sharon Louise Abbott; his sisters, Dorothy F. Reed and Lois Stephens; his nephews, David Stephens and Bud Reed; and his great-nephews, Roger Cutshaw, Allen Cutshaw and Richie Southerland.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Freeman (Diane) and Douglas Freeman (Mary); his grandsons, Austin and Luke Freeman; his nieces, Shirley Thomas (Cutshaw), Blanche Southerland (Richard), Lynn Wilkinson and Karen Wilkinson (John); and his nephew Kevin Stephens (Teresa).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Jim Freeman Memorial Fund, addressed to the Freeman Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
