It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joella Nichols of Malden, Illinois, born in Princeton, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Grossman (Barrett) and John Stevenson Jr.; her husband Gerald "Jerry" Marshall Nichols Sr.; and her sister Sandra Strouss. She is survived by: her children, Gerald Nichols Jr. (Denise), Dennis Nichols (Korina), Sondra Smith (Scott) and David Nichols; her sister Janice Neff (Larry); her brother-in-law Les Strouss; her grandchildren, Laramie Storm (Marina), Amy Nichols, Marshall Nichols (Jennifer), Samantha Knudsen (Adam), Sierra Storm, Samantha Burch, Codi Bruns (Kelsey) and Katie Catton (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Paxton, Brixston Knudsen, Scarlett, Olive, Dahlia Nichols, Ellie, Adalie, Averie Bruns, Raeleigh and Jaxon Catton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
