He is survived by: his sister Constance Kappel; his siblings-in-law, Philip Portoghese (Christine) and Judith (Stuart); his son Paul; his granddaughters, Samantha Nelson (Jordan) and Taylor Marie Phillips; his great grandchild Vanessa Nelson; his niece Christine Baker (Jeffrey); and his nephews, Stephen Portoghese (Caroline), Stuart Portoghese (Jeanné), Philip Portoghese, Theodore Kappel and Samuel Kappel (Audrey).
