He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Cox and Rachel Cox (Craig); his wife Phyllis Hale; his daughter Cheryl Baltzell; his brothers, Hubert, Otis, Dean and Curtis Cox; and his pet Pug.
He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Cox (Patty) of Makanda, Yogi Cox (Cathy Rushing) of Makanda, Leonard "Boo" Cox (Julie) of Makanda and Sherman Cox (Penny Walter) of Marion; his son-in-law Harley Baltzell of Makanda; and his pet Bear. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren.
