He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Jacobi (Edward) of Waukegan, John Michael Herman (Andrea) of Benton and Steven Karl Herman of Makanda; and his sister Lillian Anderson of Kingston, NY.. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
