Charles E. Heern Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles E. Heern of Makanda, Illinois, who passed away on November 15, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. "Clinton" and Martha Heern (Newberry). He is survived by: his wife Fay Stearns; his children, Jane Evans, Gary Heern (Glenda) and Roger Heern; his siblings, Lucille Burrow (Joe) and William Jerry Heern; his grandchildren, J. T. Evans (Amy Stretmater), Scott Evans (Cassie), Marissa McKee (Ryan) and Jared Heern (Carly); his great grandchildren, Finn, Asher, Sofia, Colton and Oliver; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ephram and Gideon.
Memorials may be made in Charles's name to Makanda Evergreen Cemetery or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
