It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Escue of Makanda, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Sharalyn Slivinski (Joe) of Portland, Ernie Escue (Vicki) of Makanda, Kathy Escue (Sally Niemeyer) of Benton, Debbie Richardson (Chuck) of Allen, Tina Eckert (Gary) of Vincennes and Lonnie Escue (Jill) of Makanda; her grandchildren, Scott Escue (Mickellynn), Stephen Escue (Hang), Jamie Escue (Fatima), Jada Escue (Damine), Brittany Nowaskie (DWayne), Bridget Eckert, Ryan Richardson (Christen), Emily Sanders (Jake), Erica Escue (Tyler Staats) and Elissa Escue; her great grandchildren, Maci Escue, Ryan, Jaylynn Escue, Jett Sanders, Ruby Rae Nowaskie and Luca Richardson; her brother-in-law Paul Escue; and her nephews, Al Yancey (Jeannie), Danny Yancey, Tim Yancey (Becky), David Yancey (Charlie Kent) and Cat.
