He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Gwynne Cook and Janet Cook (Kerr); his sister Judy Lathrop; and his brothers-in-law, Lester Lathrop (Soank) and Robert Hayden.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lou Hayden; his children, Gwyneth Whitacre (Rick) and Tom Cook (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Mollie Webb (Jon), Andrew Whitacre (Michelle), Christopher Whitacre, Liam, Noah, Sawyer Whitacre and Keller Webb.
