He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Walter Podnar and Anna Podnar (Mainridge); his daughter Mary Stevenson; his son-in-law Alan Stevenson; his granddaughter Julianna Podnar; his sister Theresa Dorn; and his brother-in-law Henry Dorn.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Podnar (Dutko); his sons, Joseph Podnar (Eva) of Camano Island, WA and Mark Podnar (Christine) of Baton Rouge, LA; his sister Violet Podnar; his grandchildren, Erin Stevenson, Kelly Stevenson (Julie), Kerry Stevenson, Nicole Fleetwood (James), Neil Podnar (Dennetta), Rachel Satterlee (Gerard), Michael Podnar (Amanda) and Sarah Podnar; and his great grandchildren, Trinity, Anastasia Stevenson, Abigail Podnar and Aubry Satterlee.
