He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Claire Herbert and Benita Herbert (Hohenstein); his former wife Frances "Fran" Tomlinson; his wife Fran Herbert of Macon, IL; his children, Beth Ann Berger (Greg) of Macon, IL, John Herbert of Los Angeles, CA and Steven Herbert of Westerville, OH; his grandsons, Nathan Berger, Jackson, Chase and Alexander Herbert; his sister Carla Hathaway (Harold) of Leavenworth, KS; his sisters-in-law, Ellen Burns (Berneil) of Macon, IL and Mary Ann Cooper of Peoria, IL; his nephew Kevin Tomlinson of Gilroy, CA.; his brother Mark T. Herbert, Sr.; his mother-in-law Edith Barding; and his sister-in-law Cynthia Niemeyer. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
