We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2024, at the age of 77, Mary Lou Chapla-Stokvis of Macomb, Illinois, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Moke Wittka and Helen Keller Barnard; her former husband Shorty Barnard; her daughter Tonia Hack; her grandchildren, Marley Chapla and Saige Hack; and her sister Jeannie Tadolini.

She is survived by: her former husband Danny Chapla; her husband Jeff; her children, Troy Chapla (Kelly), Dan Chapla (Gara), Michelle Stokvis and Jeffrey Stokvis (Joyce); her son-in-law Glenn Hack; and her grandchildren, Kelcie Howard (Zach), Zach Chapla, Ivy Chapla, Luke Chapla, Jauton Bender (Jeremy), Adam Rheinhart, Karina Spiewak, Joshua Spiewak, Servaas Stokvis, Ashton Stokvis and Zachary Stokvis (Devon). She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
