He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Adair and Lelie Adair (Green); his wife Betty Young McCullough; his siblings, Charles Adair, Mary Shepard and June Cameron; his stepson Ronald McCullough; and his grandsons, Marc Cookson and David Shinn.
He is survived by: his children, Marla Shinn of Macomb, Patricia (Daniel Cortelyou) of Marietta, Illinois and J. Scott Adair (Julie) of Macomb, Illinois; his stepdaughter-in-law Linda McCullough; his grandchildren, Rene' Ford (Daryl), John Shinn, Darrin Cortleyou and Derek Cortelyou (Jake Sapstein); and his stepgrandchildren, Donald McCullough, Darrin McCullough (Sharon), Kristen George (Joe) and Monica Daniels. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
