Gene Watson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Watson of Macomb, Illinois, who passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert B. Watson and Lena Watson (Henderson); his wife Carol Watson (DeHaven); his siblings, Randall Watson (Carol) and Marilyn Cavett (Watson); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Cavett, Howard, Harry DeHaven, Leon Harrell, Beverly Harrell (DeHaven) and Lola DeHaven (Graves).

He is survived by: his children, Rita Dorethy (Mike) of Macomb, Elgin Watson (Kris) of Kildeer and Kyle Watson of Macomb; his grandchildren, Kristopfer Dorethy of Macomb, Kiersten Zaehringer (Mark) of Macomb and John Watson of Kildeer; and his great grandchild Harper Grace Zaehringer of Macomb.

The family requests in Lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to Camp Creek Cemetery.
