He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Sims and Vada W. Sims (DeGarmo); and his sister Diana Trout. He is survived by: his spouse Gerry (Allison); his children, Scott Sims (Renee) of Macomb and Christy Sims of Rushville; his grandchildren, Rebecca Eick (Dustin) of Bondurant, IA and Lauren Sims (Tom Grevan) of Chicago; his great grandchild Neelie Eick; and his brothers, Dennis Sims (Rosemary) of Macomb and Bayne Sims (Joyce) of Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the Archer-Bethel Cemetery in Fandon or McDonough District Hospital Home Health.
