She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeanette Cottrell and Doyle Cottrell; her husband Robert "Bob" L. Ver Steeg; and her daughter Karen Ver Steeg. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Ver Steeg (Barb) of Berthoud, CO, Brad Ver Steeg (Sandra) of Mesquite, TX and Kevin Ver Steeg (Rexanne) of Troup, TX; and her grandsons, Nathaniel, Andrew and Michael.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bushnell United Methodist Church (390 N Crafford St, Bushnell, IL 61422). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bushnell United Methodist Church, B-PC Music Dept. or Bushnell Rec Center.
