With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stella Gesell (Mackinaw, Illinois), born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on May 17, 2010 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nels Knutson and Stella Wise Knutson; and her siblings, Wilma, Roy, Paul and Nels.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Rasmussen (Tony) of Mackinaw, Dean Gesell of Pekin, Terry Gesell (Emily) of Glendale and Lynn Gesell (Michele) of Mackinaw; her siblings, Geraldine Busing of Lutz, Joan Jones of Omaha, Evelyn Dunaway of South Bend, Robert Knutson of Omaha, Tom Knutson (Ann) of Parker and Otis Knutson (Jessie) of Omaha; and her close friend Virginia Michael of Mackinaw. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
