He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Thompson and Charlene Davis Thompson; and his brother-in-law Dwayne Norton. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Jo Wartena; his children, Laura Jo Webb (Scott Hamilton) of Carlock and Ryan Lee Williams (Angela) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Ashley Ann Clement (Jonathan Michael) of Carlock, Tyler Robert Williams Reynolds of Washburn and Brady Lyn Webb; and his siblings, Cindy Norton of Bloomington, Stanley "Butch" Thompson of Bloomington, Rick Thompson (Therese) of Bloomington and Steve Thompson of Normal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of the donor's choice.
