She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Samuel Johns and Martha Rusch Johns; her husband Walter R. Simmons; and her children, Raymond J., Richard E. Simmons (Consuelo) of Tremont, Wanda Olomon (Keith) of El Paso and Rose Pledger of Pekin. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
