We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2024, at the age of 79, Gordon Mielke of Mackinaw, Illinois, born in East Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gordon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mielke and Ethel St. Germain Mielke; and his stepdaughter Dawn Marie Mathewson of St. Padre Island, TX.. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Mielke (Michelle) of Raleigh, NC and Vanessa Estelle Andres of Glen Ellyn; and his stepsons, Scott Mathewson (Michele) of Bloomington and Eric Mathewson (Romey) of The Villages, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
