She was predeceased by: her brothers, Dr. Gerald Boerman (Joyce) and Dr. Walter; her sister-in-law Betty Boerman; and her parents, Rev. Jacob and Catherine Boerman.
She is survived by: her husband Theo L. Haensel; her children, David Haensel (Karen), Julie Haensel and Paul Haensel; her grandchildren, Nicole Mitok (Rick) and Michael Haensel (Lindsay Newton); her great grandchild Kai Mitok; and her sister Jacqueline Stark.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Mackinaw Christian Church or to the Mackinaw Rescue Squad.
