He was predeceased by: his daughter AngeLea Gene Lucas; and his cousin Bruce Lucas (Chucky Geschke). He is survived by: his daughter Courtney Lucas (Jacob Bray); his granddaughter Violet Bray; his former wife Wendy Lucas; his parents, Paul Lucas and Elizabeth Arlene Lucas; his sister Candy Thompson; and his cousins, Brad, Mary, Brian, Tina, Nick Lucas, April and Jimmy Camacho.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Honquest Family Funeral Home-Loves Park Chapel (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Willwood Burial Park (7000 W State St, Rockford, IL 61102).
