He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Ortega and Maria Ortega; and his brother Refugeo Ortega. He is survived by: his daughters, Lorena Chesley (Kyle), Sonia Flores (Hector) and Elizabeth "Beth" Ortega-Lakey (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Tyler, Alexander, Julian, Olivia and Nicholas; his siblings, Alejandro Ortega (late Rafaela), Guadalupe Mendez (Emilio) and Concepcion Belmontes (Francisco); and his close friend Rosa Lopez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
