He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Alt and Mabel Alt (Lindsay); his brothers, Bill and John; and his grandson Brody Wingo.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Mike Alt (Jill) and Melanie Wingo (Mike); his grandchildren, Hannah, Ryan Alt and Maggie Wingo; his siblings, Helen McNett (Keith), Dorothy Chapman, Mary Weis, Arthur Alt (Mae), Dolores Behrens, David Alt (Lucille), Tom Alt (Sue) and Diane Johll (Paul); and his sister-in-law Vicki Alt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be used for local veteran groups to help those in need.
