With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel D. McClanahan of Machesney Park, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie McClanahan and Frank McClanahan. He is survived by: his wife Vicki McClanahan; his children, Michelle Proudfoot (Bob), Steve McClanahan (Malisa), Mindy McClanahan and David McClanahan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Shelbie, Daniel, Ethan, Patrick, Madison, Mara, Dax, Nalida and Nolan; and his brother Mark Backes. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
