He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Self and Pearl Self; his wife T. Joy Barnes; and his son Michael Self. He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Seaberg (Dave); his granddaughter Jennifer Hunter (Derek); and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Kaci and Rylee Hunter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Delehanty Funeral Home (401 River Ln, Loves Park, IL 61111). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115).
