He is survived by: his wife Thelma Schafer; his sons, Calvin Schafer Jr. (Editha), Edward Schafer (Noel) and Daniel Schafer; his grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Calvin, Darryl, Joseph, Ariel, Emily and Jason; his great grandchildren, Makayla, Noah, Emmett, Connor and Harrison; and his siblings, Wayne, Neda, Paula, Helen and Ralph. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
