Alice A. Markgraf Obituary
We bid farewell to Alice A. Markgraf of Machesney Park, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Alice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Forbes and Katherine Duncan Forbes (Henderickson); her husband Donald Lee "Moose" Markgraf; her siblings, Tom, Jim Forbes, Mary Tibbits (Ken) and Rita Duncan; and her daughter-in-law Amy Markgraf.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian Markgraf (Aiza) of Rockford and Greg Markgraf (Veronika) of Rockford; her grandchildren, Gretchen Buchanan (Zach), Brianna Markgraf (Joe Novak), Jake and Ian Markgraf; her great grandchildren, Adeline, Isaac Buchanan and Lola Novak; and her sisters-in-law, Pat Forbes and Karen Forbes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion - Rockton (221 W Main St, Rockton, IL 61072).
