He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon A. Schertz and Eileen E. Schertz (Bachman). He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Schertz (Irene) of Cahokia, IL, Mary Schertz of Elkart, IN, Ann Schertz of Cumberland, KY and Kathryn Kortemeier (David) of Metamora.
